Serena Willams’ ex-coach predicts Coco Gauff to win multiple Grand Slams in 2025
Rick Macci, former coach of Serena Williams, has predicted that Coco Gauff has a strong chance of winning multiple Grand Slam titles in the 2025 season. The veteran coach has been vocal about his insights online, often sharing motivational messages aimed to inspire tennis players.
Gauff couldn’t get her hands on any Major this year, though she managed to Clinch the WTA Finals in Riyadh, defeating Zheng Qinwen.
Macci took to X (formerly Twitter) on December 23 and wrote:
“Every player will make adjustments in the off season. If those adjustments technically strategically and physically help them MENTALLY then Major League Grand Slam improvement and unwavering belief is on the horizon in 2025. @CocoGauff.”
Macci previously wrote:
“Time dictates greatness. Time never lies. Time is on her side. With her sprinter speed bullet backhand and a backbone made of granite and lets plug in that extreme DNA athletic ability Coco Gauff in Time will Time and Time again be a multiple Grand Slam Champion. @CocoGauff,” he wrote.
Gauff made a coaching change this year, parting ways with Brad Gilbert in September after working together for just over a year. She then teamed up with Matt Daly, adding him to her coaching staff, which already included Jean-Christophe Faurel. With the new collaboration, it will be exciting to see what she brings to the court in the upcoming season.
