Coco Gauff recently resumed her off-season training ahead of the 2025 season. The American will look to build on the form she found late in the 2024 season.
Gauff started her training under the supervision of strength and conditioning coach Stephan Dalsoglio. Dalsoglio owns a fitness organization named "Preseason Fitness Performance," which caters to the sports conditioning needs of athletes.
As part of her training regimen, Gauff has implemented a "work from home" approach to build towards the next year. Training near her Florida home enables World No. 3 to avoid travel fatigue and focus on enhancing her physical conditioning in the comfort of her own home.
Dalsoglio shared Gauff's Instagram story, reposting the American player's training videos.
"Work from home," read Gauff's post (via Instagram).
" Off season under the sun," Dalsoglio wrote while sharing Gauff's story.
As per the new WTA guidelines, players are now required to participate in a total of 20 mandatory events, encompassing the 4 Grand Slams, 10 WTA 1000 events, and 6 WTA 500 events. Given the extended season, physical conditioning becomes paramount for players to maintain peak performance in the latter half of the year.
Change in the coaching team brought immediate success for Coco Gauff
Since her semifinal run at the French Open, Gauff's on-court performance saw a notable decline. The American player faced challenges with her serve, committing numerous double faults per match. Additionally, her forehand accuracy diminished significantly. These technical shortcomings were evident in her fourth-round losses against Emma Navarro at both Wimbledon and the US Open.
Post her stint in New York, the World No. 3 made the decision to end her collaboration with her then-coach, Brad Gilbert, hiring Matt Daly as a replacement. The decision brought instant success for the 21-year-old.
Gauff secured her second title of the year by winning the WTA 1000 event in China, followed by a semifinal finish at the Wuhan Open. She capped off the season with an impressive campaign at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, clinching the title and defeating both world number one Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.
Gauff will now look to start the new season on strong note, and she is not leaving any stones unturned in terms of her training regimen. From coaching changes to using Metabolic Masks, the American is getting ready for the next season, aiming to secure major titles.
