As Daniil Medvedev gears up for his 2024 US Open campaign, his wife Daria Medvedeva and their young daughter Alisa are making the most of their time in New York City. The delightful mother-daughter duo shared snippets of their outing, providing fans with a glimpse into their life away from the court.
Daniil and Daria tied the knot in a private ceremony in Moscow in 2018. Their joy doubled when they welcomed their first child, Alisa, into the world in October 2022. The family often travels together for various tournaments, and this time they have landed in New York for the final Grand Slam of the season.
On August 24, Daria took to her Instagram stories to share snippets of their day out in the city. In one clip, Alisa can be seen chasing pigeons and feeding them pieces of bread in Central Park. The duo also explored the Museum of Modern Arts (MoMA).

The day culminated with a tender moment as Daria shared a picture of herself carrying a tired Alisa, who was adorably resting her head on her mother's shoulders after a day full of exploration.
"Tired," Daria Medvedeva wrote.
Daniil Medvedev credits wife Daria for helping him balance fatherhood and tennis career
Daniil Medvedev has spoken candidly about the difficulties of juggling fatherhood with his professional tennis career. While he occasionally has the support of his wife and daughter at tournaments, he frequently must leave them behind during competition.
In a 2024 French Open interview with the Tennis Channel, Medvedev discussed the tough implications of being away from his young daughter so often. He shared that, due to her limited vocabulary, he hasn't yet learned much from her, except for some patience.
"Has taught me? Not yet, not yet. She doesn't speak too many words. Just by showing and stuff, tough to teach. Patience maybe, I don't know, sometimes," Medvedev said.
Medvedev also acknowledged that his wife Daria takes on most of the responsibility for teaching their daughter.
"Let's be honest, when you're a tennis player, you can talk as much as you want about kids, you don't see them that often. You travel around the world so it's more my wife that tries to teach her things and maybe our daughter teaches her patience," he added.
The 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev is seeded fifth in the tournament and will take on Dusan Lajovic in the first round on August 26 at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
