Emma Raducanu recently shared glimpses into her offseason escapades in London as she bids her home adieu ahead of the Australian Open. The Brit is currently gearing up to get back to her best level in the 2025 season.
Raducanu returned to the court this year at the ASB Classic after recovering from wrist and ankle injuries. However, she struggled to find her rhythm during the season, which was marred by some other injuries. The Brit did show some glimpses of her previous self at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, where she helped Great Britain reach the final 4.
On December 20, Emma Raducanu took to Instagram to share highlights of her time in London with some photos of herself enjoying herself. She seems to have bid the Square Mile ahead of kicking her 2025 season off. The Brit recently rocked a black puffer jacket during a grocery shopping trip to the supermarket.
"🇬🇧👋 in a bitttt —>>🪇🌞🗺️⛱️🌏," she captioned her post.
The 22-year-old rose to fame in 2021 when she conquered the US Open at the young age of 18. She became the first qualifier to win a Major and didn't drop a single set during her marvelous run. However, since achieving the pinnacle, the constant injury struggles have marred the 22-year-old's form.
She recently opened up about how winning the US Open so early in her career left her 'frustrated'.
"I know I'm a dangerous player" - A confident Emma Raducanu looks to take the tour by storm in 2025
Speaking to WTA during her Billie Jean King Cup Finals campaign with Great Britain, Emma Raducanu said that her positive results at the event made her excited for the upcoming season.
"I'm excited and just itchy to get on the practice court, and of course seeing some of my performances this week, it just incentivizes me to do more work."
She added how her results deserved a pat on the back and hailed herself a 'dangerous' player.
"I think sometimes I need reminding. I'm top 60 in the world and I have played less than 15 events, which is pretty unheard of, in a way," she said
"I have to pat myself on the back for that. I know I'm a dangerous player. I know no-one wants to pull my name in the draw. I take pride in that, and I'm looking forward to hopefully staying on court longer next year," Emma Raducanu added.
Raducanu was all smiles in some pictures she shared from her offseason training on Instagram. She will kick her season off at the ASB Classic starting on December 30.
