Emma Raducanu has been enjoying her offseason by indulging in various activities across the UK. She volunteered for community service and visited the Wimbledon Museum, the South Kensington flower market, and more.
Raducanu shared a carousel of images showcasing her offseason activities on Instagram. In the first image, the young Brit showed off her Porsche in a side-view mirror selfie. She also shared a snap from her visit to the Wimbledon Museum which showcases the rich history of lawn tennis.
Raducanu also shared an image from her community service which was an initiative led by Surplus to Supper. The 22-year-old thanked the organization on social media for letting her come by for the "amazing operation."
She also visited the South Kensington flower market, known for its colorful and fragrant displays. Raducanu's caption for the post was inspired by British rock band Coldplay's sixth studio album:
"Ghost stories"
Just days earlier, Emma Raducanu shared images from her practice session, signaling her focus on returning stronger. The 2021 US Open champion has struggled with inconsistency on the tour, primarily due to injuries over the past few years.
After undergoing three surgeries last year, she managed to play over 30 singles matches this year with no major setbacks. Raducanu is aiming for greater consistency in 2025.
"I'm looking forward to hopefully staying on court longer next year" - Emma Raducanu expressed optimism for 2025
During the Billie Jean King Cup in Malaga, Emma Raducanu opened up about her 2024 season and how she was looking to prepare for 2025.
"I think traditionally you'd probably have a bit of a break and take a holiday or something," Emma Raducanu said (via WTA). "But I feel like I have had four, five weeks off tennis, and I don't really need any more time off. If anything, I'm excited and just itchy to get on the practice court."
Raducanu's best this season was seen during the grasscourt swing. She reached the semifinal in Nottingham, the quarterfinal at the Eastbourne International, and the fourth round at Wimbledon. Since her triumph at the US Open in 2021, this was her first second-week appearance at a Grand Slam.
The 22-year-old called herself a "dangerous player" and expressed optimism for 2025.
"My assessment is, I think sometimes I need reminding," she said. "I'm top 60 in the world and I have played less than 15 events, which is pretty unheard of, in a way. I have to pat myself on the back for that. I know I'm a dangerous player. I know no one wants to pull my name in the draw. I take pride in that, and I'm looking forward to hopefully staying on court longer next year."
At the Billie Jean King Cup, Raducanu went 3-0 in her singles encounters but Great Britain could not defeat Slovakia in the semifinal. Raducanu ended her 2024 season ranked at World No. 59 with a 21-13 record.
