Eugenie Bouchard, John McEnroe and Taylor Townsend were among the guests at the Baha-Mar Tennis Cup event that took place from December 12-15. They competed at the exhibition events and spent their off-court time enjoying cultural experiences and a gala night.
The event in Nassau is presented by former Bahamian player Mark Knowles and seeks to raise funds for the Baha Mar Resort Foundation and the Mark Knowles Children's Tennis Initiative.
On Monday, December 16, Bouchard shared glimpses of her time on the Caribbean island with a few pictures and videos on Instagram. One of the short videos showed Bahamian folk dancers and musicians in colorful traditional costumes with feathers performing courtside.
The camera then panned toward Taylor Townsend, who was having a good time and was seen matching the dancers' steps while laughing.
Bouchard also shared a group picture where she stood alongside John McEnroe, Sabine Lisicki, and former Egyptian-Canadian player Heidi El Tabakh. The 2014 Wimbledon finalist wore an elegant yellow dress and accessorized her outfit with a white handbag and strapped heels.
In another short clip posted by Bouchard, John McEnroe can be seen performing on-stage. The former World No. 1 seemed to channel his inner rockstar to perform 'Let the good times roll' by the 1970s band The Cars.
McEnroe can be seen singing while playing an electric guitar. Earlier, Boris Becker had also shared a clip of McEnroe's performance. The American is an avid rock music fan and formed a band named Johnny Smyth after hanging up his racket in 1992.
Bouchard's post came shortly after she updated fans on her eye injury scare during pickleball practice.
