In Pictures: Iga Swiatek's "summertime" activities while in Poland ahead of Olympics, from sunbathing to spending time in her garden

Iga Swiatek recently shared the "summertime" activities she enjoyed in her home country Poland ahead of her 2024 Paris Olympics campaign. She shared photos of herself sunbathing, tending to her garden, and much more.

Swiatek is having a brilliant season this year. She has already claimed five titles, starting with her third consecutive triumph at the Qatar Open. She then won the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, the Madrid Open, and the Italian Open before successfully defending her French Open title.

The World No.1 also reached the semifinals at the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. She became the first player to secure a spot in the season-ending tournament, the WTA Finals, which is scheduled to take place from November 2 to 9 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Most recently, Iga Swiatek competed at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. She was the top seed and began her campaign by defeating Sofia Kenin 6-3, 6-4 in the first round and Petra Martic 6-4, 6-3 in the second. However, her journey at the grasscourt Major came to an end after she fell to Yulia Putintseva 6-3, 1-6, 2-6 in the third round.

Following her Wimbledon exit, Swiatek has been enjoying some well-deserved downtime in Poland. She recently took to social media to share a series of pictures where she can be seen enjoying her time in the sun, gardening, dining out, and exploring new places

While savoring her time at home, Swiatek remained focused on her upcoming campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Games will host tennis at Roland Garros, the venue of the French Open. She shared pictures and videos of her practicing on clay courts and training in the gym.

Iga Swiatek made her Olympic debut in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics. She was the sixth seed and started her campaign by defeating Germany's Mona Barthel 6-2, 6-2 in the first round. However, her campaign ended when she fell to Spaniard Paula Badosa 3-6, 6-7(4) in the second round.

While talking about the 2024 Paris Olympics, Swiatek stated that the last time she competed at the Games she felt immense pressure, evident from her crying after losing to Badosa.

The World No.1 expressed that this year she is confident in her abilities to perform better as she is familiar with the venue, Roland Garros, and her favorite surface, clay.

"For sure the pressure was huge. I mean, you could see after I lost against Paula, I cried, it was a big fuss. This time is going to be a little bit different . I'm going to know the venue. It's going to be on my favorite surface. On the other hand, these also bring up more expectations from the outside," Iga Swiatek said [via WTATennis.com].

Iga Swiatek said that despite the matches being played on clay, she would not take her preparations lightly. She expressed that she will prepare for the Olympics like any other tournament and not take things lightly

"I guess I'll have to do the same kind of work as I do on every other tournament. I'm not going to lie to myself that it's going to be easy or the same because it will be different a little bit," she added .

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Iga Swiatek will represent Poland in tennis alongside Hubert Hurkacz, Magda Linette, Magdalena Frech, and Jan Zielinski.
