Maria Sharapova recently shared glimpses of spending time with her son, Theodore and her fiance, Alexander Gikes, on a beach outing, enjoying her weekend.
The former World No. 1, who retired in 2020, frequently shares updates with her son, showcasing the quality time she spends with him on social media. She recently shared a bunch of pictures and videos from her outing with Gikes and Theodore on her Instagram stories. The first video shared by her displayed the scenic beauty of the beach, with the caption:
"Weekends.."
Following this, she shared another video of her son walking, holding her hand, with the caption:

She also shared a video of her son, who was eating a snack from Amara Baby Food. The caption read:
"And snack @amarababyfood his favorite"
Following this, she shared a hilarious update about Theodore's snack and wrote:
"His snack became my snack. So much that I invested in the company."
Sharapova was rumored to be dating Gikes, who is a businessman, in January 2018, and two years later in 2020, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram after the latter proposed the tennis alum. In 2022, they welcomed their son, Theodore, and recently admitted in an interview with People.com that they are not in a rush to hold a big wedding ever since they gave birth to their son.
Maria Sharapova opened up about becoming a mother
Maria Sharapova recently reflected on her feelings about becoming a mother in a conversation with the Tennis Channel, alongside Martina Navratilova and Steve Weissman while she was attending the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.
When asked about her parenting experience, the former tennis player shared that it involves a lot of "negotiations" and she is learning something every day.
"It's going. There's a lot of negotiation skills that go on with parenthood which I didn't know that the negotiations that I learned through my career in business and in the sport that I would apply to parenthood. But I'm learning about that every day. You got to give something to take something," Maria Sharapova said.
She added that becoming a mother is one of the best things that happened to her. Appreciating his son's features, she said:
"It's been one of the best things that's happened to me in my life and I get to teach him and grow with him. I get to learn through his actions and his findings. He's exploring the world and I get to explore with him. He has very long eyelashes and I don't know where they come from but I appreciate them."
Maria Sharapova retired in February 2020 and has won five Grand Slam titles in her career.
