Tennis stars Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina were among the tennis players who showed up to watch the El Clasico between two Spanish giants, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Real Madrid faced their arch-rivals FC Barcelona at the newly built Santiago Bernabeu on Monday, April 22. Considered one of the biggest sporting events on the planet, El Clasico did not disappoint, as Real Madrid beat FC Barcelona 3-2 in a thrilling clash.
Many tennis players including Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina were present to experience this footballing extravaganza. The Japanese Tennis star Naomi Osaka shared the photos as she attended the El Clasico and even received a customized jersey from the 35-time La Liga winners.
On her Instagram, Osaka posted pictures of her receiving the customized jersey from Real Madrid's goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
She captioned the post:
"Hala Madrid! thank you @thibautcourtois"
Elina Svitolina, who had also attended the match, shared updates on her Instagram. The Ukrainian shared videos and photos of the newly built stadium on her Instagram stories.
The World No. 1 Iga Swiatek also marked her presence for the game ahead of the 2024 Madrid Open. Enjoying the game with her physiotherapist Maciej Ryszczuk, Swiatek also posted pictures and a video, showing the celebrations after Real Madrid scored the match-winning goal.
The match was heading for a 2-2 draw before Jude Bellingham's winner in the stoppage time helped Real Madrid clinch a win, extending their lead to nine points over Barcelona in the La Liga points table.

A passionate Real Madrid fan, Nadal watched on and enjoyed his team beating their historic rivals in a close contest. He was accompanied by his sister Maribel, and father Sebastian.
