Paula Badosa recently shared some pictures from a photoshoot she did with her mother Mireia Guibert for a Spanish magazine.

Mireia Guibert was born in Spain and worked as a model in her early days. Apart from fashion, Mireira has always been a tennis lover. She was the one who introduced her daughter to tennis at the age of seven. She took Paula for her coaching sessions at the Club Tennis d’Aro in Spain and helped her become a successful player.

She is still seen supporting her daughter from the sidelines and cheering her on during intense match-ups. Badosa always credits Mireia for helping her to make important decisions in her personal life and tennis.

Badosa shared some pictures from the photoshoot on her Instagram account. She expressed her gratitude and love for her mother and called her an inspiration.

"Sesión especial con @instylespain junto a mi Madre 💖 Ella es mi inspiración (Special session with @instylespain together with my mother 💖 She is my inspiration)," Badosa captioned her post.

The photoshoot showed Badosa and her mother wearing matching outfits and posing in different settings. They looked happy and relaxed as they smiled for the camera.

The photoshoot was done for the Spanish edition of InStyle Magazine, a fashion and lifestyle publication that features celebrities and influencers.

Paula Badosa has opened up about her unusual family background, stating that none of her parents or siblings are involved in sports and that she is the only athlete in her family.

Badosa recently gave an interview with Tennis Channel International, where she talked about various aspects of her life and career. She was asked about her parents’ work in fashion and dancing, and how that influenced her choice of pursuing a career in tennis.

“Your father also danced a bit or is it right or is it just a rumor?” the interviewer asked.
"No, no, no, he danced as well but yeah, they were working like in another thing and I’m the only athlete in my family, to be honest," Badosa replied. "But yeah, I’m happy that now they know about tennis a little bit so that’s a good part."

Badosa recently played in the 2023 Italian Open, where she reached the quarterfinals after defeating Anna-Lena Friedsam, Ons Jabeur, Karolína Muchová, and Marta Kostyuk.

However, she lost to Jelena Ostapenko in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. Badosa showed great fighting spirit and resilience, but Ostapenko was more consistent and aggressive in the decisive moments.
