Sloane Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion, recently shared a glimpse of herself slipping into the holiday spirit by donning Santa Claus's preferred color: red. In one of the pictures, she can be seen wearing red overalls, with a white Christmas tree in the backdrop.
In the picture's caption, the former World No. 3 said that Father Christmas had recruited her to be a part of his sleigh team. She also gave a shoutout to her own brand, Doc & Glo.
"Santa called… he’s upgrading his sleigh team with a little extra Glo this year," Stephens wrote.
In her post, Sloane Stephens also tagged "FP Movement," the company behind her latest fit.
Notably, Stephens ventured into the body care market this year, with the launch of her gender-inclusive Doc & Glo brand. The brand derives its name from Stephens' grandfather Dr. Noel Smith (Doc) and Gloria (Glo).
Launched in August, the brand's official website claims that its natural botanical formulas "have been tested and proven by Sloane globally during her toughest matches."
Sloane Stephens, 31, last took to the court at the Charlotte Invitational exhibition event this month, which also featured fellow Americans Frances Tiafoe, Madison Keys, and ATP No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz. Despite falling outside the Top 70 rankings, the American captured her eighth title at the Rouen Open in April by defeating Magda Linette in the final.
Sloane Stephens hints at possible retirement around the corner
With the continuation of her poor run of form, Sloane Stephens, now ranked No. 74 globally, has hinted that she may be mulling retirement. During the exhibition event in Charlotte, she said:
"The year was fun. I had there was a lot going on. Obviously life is life, but I think that obviously in tennis there's a lot of ups and downs. So I think it's just kind of how you manage your year. And obviously for me, I realized that I'm like the oldest person here and very ancient, but I have enjoyed just traveling and being on tour and competing, and I think that's the most important part for me."
"So obviously, to take that into 2025 will be important for just the longevity of my career. I don't know how much longer I'm going to play, so just making sure that I enjoy it and having a good time," she added.
The American is set to kick off her 2025 campaign at the ASB Classic in Auckland where she is a former champion.
