Taylor Fritz, Matteo Berrettini, Ben Shelton, along with several other players, recently took part in a photoshoot at the 2024 Japan Open where they posed with unique and adorable props. Shelton is the defending champion at the ATP 500 hardcourt tournament in Tokyo.

Berrettini arrived at the Japan Open after helping Italy secure its spot in the knockout stages of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals. His performances helped Italy secure victories over the Netherlands, Brazil, and Belgium. Looking ahead, the defending champions will face Argentina in the quarterfinals, with the potential to meet Australia or the United States in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, both Fritz and Shelton participated in the 2024 Laver Cup in Berlin before begining their Asian swing in Tokyo. They represented Team World and competed in both singles and doubles matches. They won and lost a few matches and were unable to secure a third consecutive Laver Cup title for Team World.

Ahead of commencing their campaign at the Japan Open, Taylor Fritz, Matteo Berrettini, Ben Shelton, along with players such as Tommy Paul, Hubert Hurkacz, Arthur Fils, Holger Rune, and Ugo Humbert, participated in a delightful photoshoot for the tournament. They all posed for the cameras with charming and adorable props. The official social media page of the ATP Tour shared the pictures with the caption:

"Even away from the court, it’s all eyes on serving… 😌 We’re in Japan, so we just HAD to get the players in a prop photoshoot…"

Matteo Berrettini and Ben Shelton have advanced to the second round of the 2024 Japan Open, while Taylor Fritz was eliminated in the first round.

Fritz, the top seed at the ATP 500 hard court tournament in Tokyo, was defeated by Arthur Fils 4-6, 6-3, 3-6 in a close match in the first round. On the other hand, Berrettini secured a victory in the first round by defeating qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp 6-3, 6-4.

Berrettini will next face Fils in the second round, with the winner moving on to play either Mariano Navone or Ben Shelton in the third round.

Meanwhile, Ben Shelton is the defending champion and is seeded eighth in the tournament. He began his title defense by overcoming Reilly Opelka 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the first round and will go up against Navone in the second round.

In 2023, Shelton had defeated Taro Daniel, Jordan Thompson, Tommy Paul, Marcos Giron, before besting Aslan Karatsev in the final to secure the title.
