American tennis star Tommy Paul gave fans an off-season treat by sharing a series of shirtless training photos. Adding a playful twist, Paul assured fans that the snaps came with a stamp of approval from his girlfriend and social media influencer Paige Lorenze.
Paul wrapped up his 2024 season, which ended on a less-than-ideal note at the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga, Spain. During the United States' group stage clash against Australia, Ben Shelton suffered a 1-6, 6-4, 6-7(14) defeat to Thanasi Kokkinakis while Taylor Fritz leveled the tie by overcoming Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4.
However, in the decisive doubles match, Paul and Shelton fell short against Matthew Ebden and Jordan Thompson, who secured a 6-4, 6-4 victory to clinch the tie for Australia.
As Paul transitioned to the off-season, the focus seemed to have shifted from competition to preparation for 2025, keeping fans engaged with his training updates. In an Instagram post on December 13, 2024, he shared multiple photos of himself immersed in intense training sessions on the tennis court, with no shirt in sight.
In a playful twist, Paul humorously assured his followers that his girlfriend Paige Lorenze had approved the snapshots.
"@paigelorenze approved," Paul wrote.
The 2024 season was Tommy Paul’s most successful year to date. He claimed three career titles, triumphing at the Dallas Open and Stockholm Open (ATP 250 events) and capturing the prestigious Queen's Club Championships in London (ATP 500). Additionally, he reached the final of the Delray Beach Open, where he fell 2-6, 3-6 to fellow American Taylor Fritz.
Paul also delivered strong performances at several high-profile tournaments, making it to the semifinals at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the Italian Open. He reached the quarterfinals at the Adelaide International, 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, Wimbledon Championships, and the Paris Olympics. The American tennis star concluded the season ranking a career-high World No. 12, a milestone he initially achieved in October 2023.

Earlier this year, he returned to the quarterfinals for the third time but once again faced a loss to Draper, this time 1-6, 4-6, with the British tennis star going on to finish as the tournament's runner-up.
