After winning the 2024 Wimbledon Championships title, Carlos Alcaraz expressed that his aim is to continue to "dream" and strive for improvement. This title win was the Spaniard's second grasscourt Major and his fourth Grand Slam title overall .
Seeded third, Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) in the final in two hours and 27 minutes at Centre Court to successfully defend his title at Wimbledon. With this win, he became just the second man in the Open Era to win his first four Grand Slam finals, following Roger Federer, who won his first seven finals.
During the post-match press conference, Carlos Alcaraz expressed that despite having a great start to his career, he wants to continue to improve . He shared that his "dream" is to be recognized among the greats of the sport by the end of his career
"Obviously, I've seen all the stats that I am the youngest to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon the same year, to win whatever. Honestly, I try not to think about it too much. Obviously it's a really great start to my career but I have to keep going. I have to keep building my path and at the end of my career I would want to sit at the same table as the big guy. So that's my main goal, that's my dream right now," Carlos Alcaraz said [2:50].
Alcaraz said that winning four Grand Slam titles at the age of 21 is a significant achievement, but he stressed that it will only hold value if he continues to push himself to excel further . He stated that he wants to "keep going" and "keep winning" and end his career with many more Grand Slams to his name
"It doesn't matter that I've already won four Grand Slams at the age of 21 and if I don't keep going, all these tournaments for me, it doesn't matter. So I really want to keep going and I will try to keep winning and end my career with a lot of them," he added [3:28].

At the aforementioned press conference, Carlos Alcaraz stated that he has had an amazing journey so far in his career and that he is proud of what he and his team have accomplished so far.
"I'm really happy with the work that I'm doing with my team, I'm really proud of myself and of all the things that I'm doing great . I'm really proud of my people, people around me, and my team . Everything that we have done already has been unbelievable and an amazing journey so far," Carlos Alcaraz said [4:18].
Alcaraz said that he wants to continue progressing, winning, and pushing his limits . He stated that he wants to keep enjoying and play tennis and see what the future brings
"I really want to keep going, keep improving, keep growing up and try to keep winning. That's all that matters for me right now . I don't know what my limit is. I really don't want to think about it . I just want to keep enjoying my moment, keep dreaming. So let's see if at the end of my career it's going to be 25, 30, 15, 4. So I don't know . I want to keep enjoying it and see what the future brings to me," he added [4:38].
