Naomi Osaka recently showed off her makeup skills as she went sightseeing before the 2024 China Open. Osaka took in the majestic views of the Great Wall of China on her recent excursion.
Osaka, who was last seen at the 2024 US Open, will begin her China Open campaign against Lucia Bronzetti. If she wins the match, she will face Yulia Putintseva in the second round.
The Japanese player showed off her makeup and 'secretary' look on TikTok ahead of her first-round match.
"Ok so this is the face. It’s kind of eating, it’s kind of giving I’m the secretary. I will show my outfit later. Let me remove my glasses. Isn’t that crazy! If I go really close, you can see pores but if I am far away, it is eating, it eats, it devours," Osaka said.
The former World No. 1 also shared a picture from a sightseeing trip to one of the seven wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China.
Naomi Osaka: "My heart dies every time I lose"
Naomi Osaka talked about how difficult it was to be on the tour after her maternity break. In the press conference after her second-round loss to Karolina Muchova at the 2024 US Open, she said it had been a tough journey.
"It's been a little difficult because obviously I can only gauge how I'm doing by results. Like, I feel faster. I feel better, but I lost in the second round. So it's a little rough," Osaka said.
The Japanese player also stated that she was enjoying playing a 'lot of tournaments' and visiting different cities.
"But, also, it's been fun playing a lot of tournaments. It's been a commitment for sure, but I've been able to go to different cities that I've never been to. I really enjoyed Doha. I haven't been there, so - well, I have been there, but I don't know, it's been nice to go there," she said.
Osaka then claimed she took the losses personally but was trying to be more mature about them.
"Yeah, it's a little rough because I do take these losses really personally. It's like a dramatic word, but I feel like my heart dies every time I lose. It sucks a lot, but I've been trying to be more mature and learn and talk more about them," she added.
Naomi Osaka has had a poor run at the Grand Slams, losing in the first round at the Australian Open and second rounds at the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
