Jack Draper has reached the semifinals of the US Open 2024, and in an on-court interview, he left fans amazed at his style as he donned a pair of the Andre Agassi Nike Air Tech Challenge II shoes. After beating Alex de Minaur 6-3, 7-5, 6-2, the Brit also met up with Agassi after his match.

Draper has had an impressive run at the US Open till now, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The 22-year-old has won all of his matches so far in straight games, beating Zhizhen Zhang, Facundo Diaz Acosta, Botic van De Zandschulp, and Tomas Machac in his first four rounds.

His quarterfinal clash against 10th seed Alex de Minaur was geared up to be his toughest match yet, but even the Australian wasn't able to stop the youngster as he powered through their match in just 2 hours and seven minutes.

As Jack Draper celebrated reaching his first-ever Grand Slam semifinals, he donned a pair of the recently released ‘Hot Lava’ version of the Andre Agassi Nike Air Tech Challenge II shoes for his on-court interview after the match. He later met up with Agassi and posted a picture with the retired star on his X handle with the caption,

“Legendary!!!”

The young Brit isn't the only tennis player to have sported the iconic shoes at the US Open. A few days ago, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz wore the pair for his opening round match at the competition, earning praise from Agassi himself.

For Jack Draper, his outing at the US Open quarterfinals was a display of pure dominance, and it showed in the scoreline. The only hitch in the match came when the Brit needed treatment from his physio during the second set, but he quickly powered through that as well.

Up next, the youngster will either take on Jannik Sinner or Daniil Medvedev for his semifinal match on Friday. The BBC quoted the young star, and from his words, it seems he's confident in his abilities ahead of the impending clash.

"This is not an overnight thing for me. I felt like my level today was solid, there were some glimpses of really good stuff. I still have some levels to go if I get pushed,”

While Jack Draper will go into his clash against either Sinner or Medvedev as very much the underdog, his consistently stellar performances at the US Open mark him out as the one to watch out for.
