Jannik Sinner delaying his arrival to Paris for the 2024 Olympics due to a fever has sparked hilarious reactions from fans. The Italian has been forced to deal with health-related issues quite often in recent months, like at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships and the 2024 French Open.

Sinner is currently enjoying the best season of his career, having already won four titles in 2024 including the Asian Open, and the Miami Masters. He also became the 29th man in history to be ranked World No.1 by ATP. The 22-year-old is coming off of a decent grass court campaign where he won the Terra Wortmann Open and reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, before losing to Daniil Medvedev.

Though his recent performances have been nothing short of spectacular, the Italian has struggled with health and fitness issues in recent weeks. He was even unwell during his Wimbledon quarterfinal against Medvedev.

The World No. 1 has now delayed his arrival to Paris for the 2024 Olympics due to a fever and is expected to reach on Thursday, the day of the draw.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to Jannik Sinner's fever diagnosis. One fan joked how the Italian wasn't Elena Rybakina, alluding to her frequent health troubles.

“Jannik you're not Rybakina," one fan joked.

Another fan joked how Sinner was Rybakina's brother.

“Rybakina’s brother.”

Here are some other hilarious reactions from the fans:

“Sinner is never healthy and 100%,” a fan mentioned.
“Dude is always sick,” a fan said.
“He just doesn’t want to sleep on those trash beds in the Olympic village. Can’t blame him,” a fan joked.

Here are some other fan reactions comparing Sinner and Rybakina:

“Jannik is a little bit the Elena Rybakina of ATP give them two an immune system bitte…,” a fan poked fun.
“Their immune systems are twinning,” a fan said with a picture of Rybakina.
“This man and rybakina are always sick,” another fan joked.

Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti will be the top seeds for the men's doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Interestingly, the Italians will be pairing up for the first time. Musetti is coming off a highly successful Wimbledon campaign where he reached the semifinals. His run was ended by Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

Team Italy dominates the seedings in men's doubles as the second seeds will be Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli. On the other hand, the highly successful pairing of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini will be the third seed in the women's doubles.

As a result of being the World No. 1, Jannik Sinner will be the top seed in singles as well as doubles provided he improves his fitness and plays at the prestigious event.
