Jannik Sinner has made a very shocking announcement during the middle of the Australian Open, sending fans into a state of disbelief. The announcement concerns his coach, Darren Cahill.
Sinner is currently competing at the Australian Open, which started on January 12 and will run until January 26. He is the defending champion, having defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final last year to lift his first-ever Grand Slam trophy.
This year, the Italian kicked off his campaign on a good note, defeating Nicolas Jarry 7-6(2), 7-6(5), 6-1, and then got past Tristan Schoolkate with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the third round.
After his victory over Schoolkate, Jannik Sinner sat down for an interaction with the media and told Eurosport Italia that he would part ways with Darren Cahill after the 2025 season ends. He said:
"It will be Darren's last season as my coach."
Cahill joined Sinner's team in July 2022 and played a crucial role in guiding him to his first Major title at the Australian Open and his second at the US Open last year, along with numerous other accomplishments.
