Jannik Sinner's girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, shared her thoughts on whether his 2025 Australian Open success put any "pressure" on her. The couple has been together since last year.

Sinner delivered another stellar performance in Melbourne on Sunday, January 26, defeating second seed Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 to successfully defend his title. This victory brings his Grand Slam tally to three, including his 2024 US Open triumph.

A notable presence in the Italian's box in New York last year was Kalinskaya, who celebrated his victory with a hug and a kiss. However, she was absent in Melbourne this time, as she is currently in Singapore preparing for the WTA 250 tournament, which starts on Monday.

During a media interaction in Singapore, Anna Kalinskaya was asked whether Jannik Sinner's success added pressure on her, given she has yet to win a Grand Slam. The 26-year-old responded:

"Not at all. I don’t think there’s pressure, it doesn’t change anything.”

Kalinskaya was initially set to compete at the Australian Open this year but withdrew from the tournament. She is now preparing to face the USA's Caroline Dolehide and begin her campaign in Singapore.

"I’m very excited and very impressed at how good the organisation is, and how good the facility is. There are not many tournaments indoors, but this seems (like a) very, very good start and I’m looking forward to it," the Russian said ahead of facing Dolehide.

Anna Kalinskaya has been a constant source of support for Jannik Sinner, often cheering him on during his matches and consoling him after tough losses. However, the Italian has admitted that her presence in his life hasn’t brought significant changes to his approach or routine.

Sinner believes his relationship with Kalinskaya works so well because he wanted her to fit seamlessly into his life without requiring him to change anything about himself—and that approach has worked perfectly.

"I don't think anything has changed. Having a girlfriend is something that either makes you feel good or makes you feel bad. I want it to be something that feels very natural, which comes into my life normally. I can't afford to change as a player or as a person. That hasn't happened, that's why it works," he said in November 2024.

Now that he has won the Australian Open, Jannik Sinner will take some time off before heading to Rotterdam.
