Jelena Ostapenko enjoyed a flawless run at the recently concluded Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, capturing the title in dominant fashion. This marked the Latvian’s ninth WTA Tour-level title, and her boyfriend couldn’t be more proud, cheering her on throughout the week.
Ostapenko had a solid start to the season. While she couldn’t clinch the Australian Open, she did reach the final at the Qatar Open, narrowly missing out on the title. A brief dip in form followed, with underwhelming runs in Indian Wells and Miami, but she bounced back impressively in Stuttgart.
The former French Open champion defeated four-time tournament finalist Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 6-1 in the final to get her hands on the trophy and also a Porsche car. Her boyfriend, who was in the stands supporting her, shared a selfie on Instagram with her holding the trophy, and the couple kissed to celebrate the win.

Jelena Ostapenko put together a stellar run at the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart. She opened with a commanding win over Dayana Yastremska and followed it up with a solid performance against Emma Navarro.
The standout moment of her campaign came in the quarterfinals, where she defeated World No. 1 Iga Swiatek for the sixth consecutive time. She then overcame an in-form Ekaterina Alexandrova in the semifinals to book her place in the title clash.
Jelena Ostapenko makes her feelings known after Stuttgart win

Jelena Ostapenko couldn't contain her joy after winning the 2025 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. During her victory speech, she expressed her love for playing in such a vibrant atmosphere and thanked her team for their support throughout her journey.
"First of all, guys, thank you so much for this atmosphere here. It's amazing. I just love to play here. Thank you so much," Ostapenko said.
"Thanks to my team who are always supporting me and in good and bad days, it's not always easy with me, but thank you so much for being by my side," she added.
She also sent a consoling message to Aryna Sabalenka, saying:
"Congrats [Aryna Sabalenka] on a great week! I think you hate me now because you wanted this car so badly, but I'm sure you'll get it another time, and I mean, it's great to share the court with you. You're such a champion. So, congrats to you and your team."
Ostapenko will now shift her focus to the Madrid Open, which begins on April 22. Riding high on confidence, the Latvian heads into the WTA 1000 event with a first-round bye and will kick off her campaign in the second round.
