Jessica Pegula celebrated her father Terry Pegula’s NFL team, Buffalo Bills' victory over the Baltimore Ravens. With the win, the Bills secured a spot in the AFC Championship game, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Sunday, January 19, in the AFC Divisional round, the Bills got the better of the Ravens 27-25 with the help of Josh Allen, who produced two touchdowns. After the match, Jessica Pegula, whose father owns the Bills, posted a message of support.

"Well I’m not in Australia anymore 😢 but #BillsMafia let’s goooo @BuffaloBills" she wrote on X.

Jessica Pegula had a disappointing end to her Australian Open campaign. The 30-year-old was tue seventh seed at the tournament but exited in the third round.

Jessica Pegula got the better of Maya Joint 6-0, 6-3 at the John Cain Arena in the first round before taking out Elise Mertens 6-4, 6-2 at the Margaret Court Arena. The American looked in fine form going into her third-round clash against Olga Danilovic but faced a shock upset 6-7, 1-6 at the Rod Laver Arena.

During her post-match press conference, Pegula claimed the conditions were slower than a clay court.

"Conditions were so slow. I mean it was slower than a clay court. It felt like the balls were so heavy and that totally favored her, especially with her forehand to my backhand," Pegula said.
"It's not even the same tournament from my 1st round match playing on Cairn during the day, it's fast. Playing there at night it's not even remotely the same. It's tough; everyone has to deal with it. Some people deal with it better than others. I prefer faster; I think everyone on tour knows that," Pegula said.

This is the second successive year when Pegula failed to reach the second week of the Australian Open. Before her second-round exit in 2024, she had three successive quarterfinal appearances at the Melbourne Major.

Pegula now has five wins out of seven matches so far in 2025. Prior to the Australian Open, she competed at the Adelaide International as the top seed and reached the final before losing 3-6, 6-4, 1-6 to compatriot Madison Keys.
