Jessica Pegula recently gave a shoutout to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who has a net worth of $70 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, ahead of their NFL regular season finale against the New England Patriots. Pegula has been a longtime fan of the Bills, which are owned by her parents, Terry and Kim Pegula, and she has consistently shown her support for the NFL franchise.
A win for the Bills would set a franchise record with 14 victories and a 6-0 record against the New England Patriots. A loss wouldn’t be a big deal, as they are already secured as the No. 2 AFC playoff seed. Ahead of the clash on Sunday, a hype video for Josh Allen was posted on the official Instagram page of the Buffalo Bills. Jessica Pegula shared the video on her Instagram story a few hours later.
With the 2025 WTA season underway, Jessica Pegula has yet to make her first appearance on the court. The 30-year-old last played in an exhibition match on December 4, 2024, against Emma Navarro at Madison Square Garden. Fans had anticipated her season debut at the 2025 Brisbane International, but the tournament organizers unexpectedly announced her withdrawal due to a knee injury.
Jessica Pegula, on being dubbed the world's richest tennis player, - “It would be nice if people didn't say that.”
During the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, the British media house Daily Express called Jessica Pegula the richest tennis player because her family's net worth was $6.7 billion. She was asked if she would trade that status to be known as a Wimbledon champion in the UK. Pegula clarified that the wealth is her family's money, not hers. She joked that winning Wimbledon and earning her own prize money would be even better.
“Yeah, people say that. I personally don't have that money. It's probably my dad or my parents. I don't know why that kind of stuck. I understand, though. My family obviously is pretty well-known back in America. It is what it is… It doesn't really bother me. It would be nice if people didn't say that. But do I really care? not really. It is what is. But, yeah… I don't really think it matters how much money you have. it would be great to win Wimbledon 'cause then I would also have a lot of money from winning Wimbledon (smiling). I think I would trade, yes. I think that would be, yeah, probably better," she said.
Pegula’s best run at Wimbledon came in 2023, where she defeated the likes of Lauren Davis, Cristina Bucsa, Elisabetta Cocciaretto, and Lesia Tsurenko before being knocked out by eventual champion Markéta Vondroušová in the quarterfinals.
