Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez is savoring some much-needed downtime with her family after concluding her 2024 season. Fernandez recently spent quality time with her elder sister, Jodeci Malixi in Miami, where the duo embraced the holiday spirit by exploring the dazzling Christmas decorations and catching the movie 'Wicked' together.

Fernandez recently wrapped up her 2024 campaign with a semifinal appearance at the Hong Kong Tennis Open, where she faced a 4-6, 2-6 defeat to top-seed and eventual champion Diana Shnaider.

During their time together, Fernandez and Malixi explored the vibrant Brickell City Center, a hub of luxury shopping and entertainment, beautifully adorned with sparkling Christmas decorations.

The sisters further indulged in the festive atmosphere by watching Wicked, the highly anticipated 2024 movie adaptation of the popular Broadway musical.

Fernandez shared the pictures on her Instagram story on December 5, 2024, with the caption:

"Date night with my big sister."

Jodeci Malixi has chosen a path away from the tennis spotlight, carving a successful career as a dentist. A graduate of McGill University’s Doctor of Medical Dentistry program in 2017, Malixi currently works at Sage Dental Clinic in Florida.

Embracing her off-season, Leylah Fernandez was spotted playing an arcade game and later fully engrossed in a Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester City with her sister Bianca, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the former club.

Her younger sister, Bianca Fernandez, also a tennis player, currently competes for the UCLA Bruins. On December 2, 2024, Leylah shared a video on Instagram of herself attempting a stick-falling reaction game at an arcade. Despite a shaky start, she caught a few sticks, humorously captioning:

"I have some work to do."

In another clip, the 2021 US Open finalist focused intently on the Liverpool vs. Manchester City match, while her sister Bianca posed cheerfully in the background, captioning it:

"Soccer time means I'm locked in."
