Anna Kalinskaya recently featured in a photoshoot for magazine Harper's BAZAAR's Australian edition. However, several fans mocked her and the photoshoot's tagline, which read "Anna Kalinskaya courts success".

While the Russian is yet to win a WTA title in her career, she produced some impressive performances in 2024, reaching two finals at the Dubai Tennis Championships and the ecotrans Ladies Open in Berlin. She also reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

Fans reacted to Anna Kalinskaya's Harper's BAZAAR photoshoot and mocked its tagline, taking a dig at the Russian not winning a single title on the WTA Tour. One individual called the 26-year-old a "nepo girlfriend", referring to her relationship with Jannik Sinner.

"Oh look at this nepo girlfriend, “courts success” as in she courted a successful atp player? otherwise i have no clue what they’re on about," the fan said.

Another fan took a dig at the fact that Kalinskaya is yet to win a single tournament.

"No offense, but what success?" the fan stated.

Another fan took a dig at the cover's tagline despite Kalinskaya's absence of silverware.

"What success? No titles and on the cover of a magazine," the fan commented.

Here are some more fan reactions to the Russian's photoshoot tagline.

"Never heard her winning a Slam. Success? @Anna_Kalinskaya?" one fan stated.
"Interesting choice. Unless you’re a diehard tennis fan you wouldn’t know who she is," another fan said.
"Idk call me a hater but it should’ve been Jasmine Paolini," another fan remarked.

Anna Kalinskaya spoke to Harper's BAZAAR Australia and said that the key for her to be as good as the likes of Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka was to have a sense of balance in her life so that she could be happier off the court.

“I think [the key is to] change some things in my life — not training, but adjust a little bit my lifestyle to make it more simple, enjoy things on my off days to have a good balance. And have a better schedule to know when you can see your friends so you can be happier outside of the court. I can get recharged, so I can compete better and have more energy, and be better mentally. Then, I can be as good as them," Kalinskaya said.

The 26-year-old finished the 2024 season with 33 wins out of 51 tour-level matches, with her last tournament being the Ningbo Open. Here, she reached the quarterfinals before losing 6-2, 2-6, 3-6 to Karolina Muchova.

Kalinskaya started the year as the World No. 80 and her ranking rose to 11th at one point. She will finish 2024 as the World No. 14, just 471 points away from the Top 10.
