Paula Badosa was delighted to see Emma Raducanu show off the behind-the-scenes highlight of her life in a Pinterest collection. Both Badosa and Raducanu are set to compete at the 2024 US Open which is scheduled to begin in August 2024.
Badosa kicked off her North American hard court swing with a title win at the 2024 Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington. She received a wildcard entry to the WTA 500 tournament and defeated players like Sofia Kenin, third seed Liudmila Samsonova, Emma Raducanu, Caroline Dolehide, and ultimately claimed the title by triumphing over Marie Bouzkova in the final.
The Spaniard then exited after the second round at the Canadian Open, losing to fourth seed Jelena Ostapenko. In the recently concluded Cincinnati Open, she made it to the semifinal before suffering a defeat to sixth seed and eventual runner-up Jessica Pegula.
Badosa, who missed the 2023 US Open due to back injuries, is seeded 26th for this year's New York Slam.
Meanwhile, Emma Raducanu had a successful grass court swing. She reached the semifinals at the 2024 Rothesay Open before being bested by eventual champion and compatriot Katie Boulter. She also made it to the quarterfinals at the Rothesay International before losing to eventual champion Daria Kastkina.
At the Wimbledon Championships, the Brit reached the fourth round before being defeated by Lulu Sun. Raducanu then participated in the Mubadala Citi DC Open, reaching the quarterfinals before being defeated by eventual champion Paula Badosa. The former World No.10 had skipped both the Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Masters.

Emma Raducanu won the US Open on her debut in 2021
In 2021, Emma Raducanu defeated Bibiane Schoofs, Mariam Bolkvadze, and Mayar Sherif in the qualifying rounds to secure her spot in the main draw.
Raducanu's impressive run continued as she defeated lucky loser Stefanie Vogele 6-2, 6-3 and Shuai Zhang 6-2, 6-4 in the first and second rounds respectively. She then overcame Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-0, 6-1 in the third round and Shelby Rogers 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth to secure her place in the quarterfinals.
In the last eight, the former World No.10 triumphed over 11th seed Belinda Bencic 6-3, 6-4 and then registered a 6-1, 6-4 win over 17th seed Maria Sakkari in the semifinals.
In the summit clash, Emma Raducanu defeated Leylah Fernandez 6–4, 6–3 to win the 2021 US Open. With this win, she became the first qualifier to win a Major and also became the second player to win the US Open on her debut, following in the footsteps of Bianca Andreescu, who achieved the feat in 2019.
