Keys showcased her skills at the Australian Open by defeating several top-notch players, such as Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, Danielle Collins, and more, to advance to the finals of the tournament. In the finals, she competed against the two-time defending champion, Aryna Sabalenka, and won the match, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.
Following this victory, the American received a bunch of sweet messages from her colleagues who attended her wedding with her husband, Bjorn Fratangelo, on November 23, 2024. Taylor Townsend took to her Instagram stories and reshared a post by WTA that carried a picture of Keys holding the trophy, with her caption reading:

Madison Keys started her 2025 season by competing at the ASB Classic, which commenced on December 31, 2024. In this competition, she reached the quarterfinal; however, she failed to advance further to this stage as she was bested by Clara Tauson, 6-4, 7-6(9).
Following this, she competed at the Adelaide International, where she delivered brilliant performances in all the rounds. She bested players such as Beatriz Haddad, Jelena Ostapenko, Daria Kasatkina, and more to reach the finals of the tournament.
