Madison Keys' kindness over the years brought to light by American's superfan after her monumental Australian Open feat

A Madison Keys superfan gave the tennis fraternity a look into the kind nature of the American tennis superstar. Keys defeated second seed Iga Swiatek to reach the second Grand Salm final of her career at the 2025 Australian Open.

Keys entered the Happy Slam as the 19th seed and though she has always been considered a force to be reckoned with, many felt that the American's difficult draw could hinder her path to the final. However, the 29-year-old didn't let this deter her spirits and defeated 10th seed Danielle Collins, sixth seed Elena Rybakina, and 28th seed Elina Svtitolina to reach the semifinals.

The 19th seed defied all the odds yet again when she turned around a one-set deficit to clinch a monumental 5-7, 6-1, 7-6(8) win after two hours and 36 minutes, even saving a match-point en route.

Following her win, Sam Yung, a die-hard Madison Keys fan, shared some beautiful images on X (formerly Twitter) revealing how the 29-year-old had been kind to them over the years. These included a text message where Keys was consoling the fan when their mother got cancer, a Christmas and New Year gift box full of goodies, and Keys issuing a player guest ticket for them to attend a Wimbledon match in 2021.

"The way Madi has been so good to me and mum over the years 🥹 she truly is the queen of kindness and deserves it all."

The 19th seed also broke down into tears following her win.

Keys has defeated two of the biggest powerhouses of the WTA Elena Rybakina and Iga Swiatek; however, to script the perfect end to her fairy tale, the American will have to pass the toughest challenge of the Melbourne Major.

Madison Keys will face top seed Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the 2025 Australian Open, in what will be the sixth meeting between the two women. The Belarusian leads their head-to-head 4-1. The two women have played at Wimbledon and the US Open before with Sabalenka clinching wins on both occasions.

Sabalenka is a two-time defending champion and possesses an impressive 20-match win streak at the hard court Majors and will look to continue her reign. She will want to add herself to the list of Martina Hingis, Steffi Graf, and others to have completed the Australian Open three-peat.

Madison Keys, on the other hand, is looking to add her name to the list of American women to have conquered Melbourne. This list includes Serena Williams, Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert among others.
