Madison Keys oozed elegance and grace as she posed with the coveted Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup during her Australian Open champion's photoshoot. The celebrations seem to be in full swing for the American, who finally clinched her elusive Grand Slam title after defeating two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 after two hours and two minutes of some staggering tennis.
Coming on the back of a seventh WTA 500 triumph at the Adelaide International, Keys entered the Australian Open as the 19th seed. Though she was dealt with a highly unfavourable hand, she defied all odds to finally etch her name in Grand Slam history. En route to the final, the 29-year-old defeated the likes of tenth seed Danielle Collins, sixth seed Elena Rybakina, and second seed Iga Swiatek.
Celebrations ensued following her triumph and they seemed to have continued into the next morning as well. Pictures from Madison Keys' champion's photoshoot alongside the beautiful Australian Open title were posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Keys donned a stylish blue-coloured dress and had her celebratory photoshoot on the beautiful beaches of Melbourne.
Keys reached her maiden Grand Slam at the 2017 US Open where she was decimated 3-6, 0-6 by her best friend Sloane Stephens, who sent the 29-year-old a heartfelt message to celebrate her win.

Madison Keys achieved a career-defining Grand Slam triumph on her 46th appearance. Following her monumental triumph, she opened up about how letting go of the burden of not winning a Major actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
“I think, I've done a lot of work to no longer need this. I really wanted it, but it was no longer, you know, the thing that was going to define me. And kind of letting go of that burden, I think finally gave myself, I finally gave myself the ability to actually play for it,” she told ESPN.
The American also revealed that when she was around 11-12 years old, someone touted her to be a future Grand Slam champion.
During her press conference, Madison Keys opened up about how therapy and reaching out for help to her loved ones was a significant help in conquering her inner demons.
