Madison Keys and Elina Svitolina will clash in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2025 on Wednesday, January 22. The American overcame a second-set stumble to beat former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 in the fourth round.

Keys defeated Ann Li, Elena-Gabriela Ruse, and Danielle Collins in the first three rounds. She has reached her fourth quarterfinal in Melbourne, the most she has at a single Major, and improved her record at the venue to 31-10 with her latest win. She's also on a nine-match winning streak, having won the title in Adelaide to start the new season.

Svitolina overcame a slow start to beat Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. She staged a comeback to topple World No. 4 Jasmine Paolini in the third round and beat Caroline Dolehide and Sorana Cirstea in straight sets before that.
