Maria Sharapova, Denis Shapovalov & Tommy Paul's partners share their joy as Felix Auger-Aliassime and girlfriend Nina Ghaibi get engaged

Maria Sharapova, Denis Shapovalov, and Tommy Paul's partners shared their joy as Felix Auger-Aliassime got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Nina Ghaibi.

Auger-Aliassime had been dating Ghaibi since 2019. Ghaibi, a Croatian national, is an equestrian by profession. Auger-Aliassime, who last featured at the 2024 Swiss Indoors, announced his engagement on Friday, November 29. He shared a few pictures of him with Ghaibi on social media. The couple posed in white attire with a lake and mountains making the background.

"Couldn't have dreamt of a better forever," Auger-Aliassime wrote on Instagram.

Sharapova's partner Alexander Gilkes was among the first to congratulate the newly engaged couple. The British businessman wished for "superlative happiness" for both in their new chapter.

"Many congratulations to you both. Wishing you superlative happiness for a new chapter together," Gilkes commented under the post.

Tommy Paul's girlfriend and famous influencer Paige Lorenze expressed great joy on the occasion.

"omg!!!!!!! So happy for you both," Lorenze commented.

Shapovalov's partner Mirjam Bjorklund also congratulated the couple. The Swedish tennis player, who got engaged to Shapovalov last year, posted teary-eyed and heart emojis in the comments.

"Congrats you guys, so happy for you," Bjorklund's comment reads.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Nina Ghaibi's engagement comes just days after World No. 6 Casper Ruud betrothed his long-time girlfriend Maria Galligani. Although the couple got engaged on November 20, they divulged the news to the public a week later on social media.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Nina Ghaibi enjoyed off-season together in Togo

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Nina Ghaibi traveled to Togo to enjoy their off-season. The couple treated fans to some memorable moments they experienced during the trip.

Taking to social media last week, Ghaibi shared glimpses of them participating in fun games and traditional dances with the natives. Reflecting on the trip, the Croatian stated that the people there were some of the "most joyous, generous, and inspiring" she had ever come across.

"Another Togo trip in the books filled with the most joyous, generous and inspiring groups of people I’ve witnessed," Ghaibi wrote.

Auger-Aliassime and Ghaibi had been to Togo before in 2022. The Canadian shares a unique bond with the West African country and its people as his father was born there. His mother, however, is of French-Canadian descent.
