Maria Sharapova was in attendance at Wimbledon's Center Court on Saturday to attend the women's singles final. The 5-time Grand Slam champion was spotted alongside her fiance, Alexander Gilkes. Sharapova's presence added further glamour to the star-studded crowd which included Hollywood icon Tom Cruise.
Sharapova was all smiles as she attended the women's singles final at Wimbledon 2024 in what was an exciting encounter between Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova.
The tennis star took to social media to post a video showing Cruise sitting in the stand adjacent to her and Gilkes'. While including the theme song of Cruise's famous franchise film series, Mission Impossible, Sharapova captioned her story:
"I spy with my little iPhone eye. Our neighbor Tom," she wrote.
In the final of the ladies' singles at Wimbledon 2024, Krejcikova defeated Paolini 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to win her second Grand Slam title. Paolini put up a valiant fight, but Krejcikova's experience and adaptability won in the end.
The women's singles final also saw other celebrities such as Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, Kate Beckinsale, and Pink in attendance on Center Court.
