Martina Navratilova gave a nod to Hollywood legend Kate Winslet, who donned an elegant white suit, for turning up the glamor quotient for the night at the 2025 Golden Globes. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for portraying the American photographer and World War II journalist Elizabeth 'Lee' Miller in the film "Lee".
The 49-year-old's suit featured black-colored floral patterns on the jacket's top right and bottom left. She complemented it with black formal shoes and dazzling accessories. Navratilova applauded her look by tweeting a 'clapping' emoji in response to a photo of her.
"Lee" was released on 13 September 2024. Winslet, worth $65 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, received rave reviews for her portrayal. The movie also stars Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Andy Samberg, Noemie Merlant, Josh O'Connor, and Alexander Skarsgard.
Other nominations included performances by Angelina Jolie, Pamela Anderson, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman, and Fernanda Torres, who won for "I'm Still Here". Interestingly, Kate Winslet wasn't the only one who impressed Martina Navratilova at the 82nd Golden Globes ceremony.
Martina Navratilova impressed with Nikki Glaser's opening monologue at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards

Nikki Glaser's opening monologue at the Golden Globes has received positive responses from all over the world. The 40-year-old made a joke about Donald Trump winning the presidential election over Kamal Harris, the tennis drama "Challengers", Kate Winslet, and many others:
“I’m not here to roast you. And how could I? You’re all so famous, so talented, so powerful. I mean, you could really do anything — except tell the country who to vote for. But it’s okay. You’ll get them next time!”
“Zendaya you were incredible in Dune. I woke up for all of your scenes. And Challengers? That was more se*ually charged than Diddy’s credit card."
"We have got some huge movie stars here tonight: Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Colin Farrell. And we have some huge TV stars as well: Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Colin Farrell."
Martina Navratilova was impressed by Glaser's performance at the ceremony and reshared the video on X with the words:
"Very good:)"
