Tennis great Martina Navratilova has launched a scathing attack on Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg over his advocacy for more "masculine energy" in corporate culture.
During a recent interview with celebrity podcaster Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg said (via NDTV):
"The masculine energy I think is good. And obviously society has plenty of that, but I think corporate culture is really trying to get away from it."
Writer Mona Eltahawy, taking exception to Zuckerberg's comments, wrote on X:
"Mark Zuckerberg wants companies to have more 'masculine energy, and for culture to celebrate(s) the aggression a bit more. Translation: Mark Zuckerberg wants to be more of a misogynist shit without consequence."
Martina Navratilova chimed in, seemingly in agreement with Eltahawy.
"Masculine energy… Mark has lost the plot," she wrote.
Zuckerberg, who is worth over $209 billion (per Celebrity Net Worth), has reportedly made a U-turn on several of his previous liberal policies since Donald Trump won the US presidential election.
During a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Zuckerberg appeared to suggest that his sympathies now lie with Trump. He said (via Yahoo News):
"One of the things that I'm optimistic about with President Trump is I think he just wants America to win."
Last week, the Meta CEO reportedly met Trump at Mar-a-Lago, the president-elect's lavish retreat in Florida.
Martina Navratilova is a fierce critic of US President-elect Donald Trump
Martina Navratilova endorsed Democrat nominee Kamala Harris for President in the recent American presidential election. She has also strongly condemned Donald Trump and his policies and described the Republican leader as an "utter psycopath."
Following Trump's election win in November, she expressed her frustration on X, writing:
"Well, Trump won. Fear and anger won. And a country that was born as a racist patriarchy proved beyond any reasonable doubt it still is a racist patriarchy. Not sure when this ceases to be true."
She has also criticized his followers, calling them "deluded" and "brainwashed." Recently, she termed Trump as the "swamp" that he claims to want to drain.
