Martina Navratilova didn’t hold back in her criticism of Donald Trump’s Christmas message, slamming him for his remarks. She went as far as to call the future President an "utter psychopath" for his comments during the festive season.
Trump took to 'Truth Social' to target "radical Left lunatics" and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He also reiterated his controversial calls to acquire the Panama Canal, annex Canada, and purchase Greenland.
"Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics, who are constantly trying to obstruct our Court System and our Elections. They know that their only chance of survival is getting pardons from a man who has absolutely no idea what he is doing,” he wrote.
“Also, to Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, whose Citizens’ Taxes are far too high, but if Canada was to become our 51st State, their Taxes would be cut by more than 60%," he added.
Martina Navratilova, a staunch critic of Donald Trump, made her views clear once again in a reply to a comment on X (formerly Twitter). The comment, posted in response to her Christmas post, read:
“Yes, thank you Martina. Wouldn't it be lovely if everyone celebrating Christmas AND Hanukkah fell into everyone's arms and loved each other. Difficult when too many people elect a President who feeds hate. But let's try!”
The 18-time Grand Slam champion replied:
“Right? I mean his Christmas message is so full of hate. trump is an utter psychopath.”
Martina Navratilova slams Donald Trump's 'idiotic' remarks about grocery prices
During the 2024 election campaign, Donald Trump prioritized addressing rising grocery prices, promising to reduce costs for American families if given another term. However, following his victory over Democratic representative Kamala Harris, he stated in an interview with Time that solving the issue would be a "very hard" task.
“I don't think so. Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard," Trump said.
Martina Navratilova was quick to criticize Trump following his contrasting remarks, expressing her disapproval on X. She called his comments "utterly idiotic" and went further, labeling him a "liar, bully, and braggart.”
“Well, if they weren’t up, you wouldn’t need to bring them down. What an utterly idiotic statement by Trump,” the 18-time Major champion wrote.
She added:
“He is nothing but a liar, bully ,and braggart. And that is just a small nicer part of who he is.”
