Martina Navratilova endorses take about Donald Trump voters being 'morons' following latest 'grocery' remarks

Martina Navratilova endorsed a take about future American President Donald Trump's voters being 'morons'. The tennis legend has frequently expressed her disdain for Trump.

Navratilova doesn't shy away from expressing her views on sensitive issues such as the inclusion of transgender athletes in women's sports or the state of American politics. She had vehemently opposed Trump becoming the next President of the US during the elections. She also explained her reasons for not wanting to vote for the Republicans.

Trump had said in October that he would lower grocery prices if he were to be elected. However, he recently said:

“It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."

Recently, a user on X (formerly Twitter) mentioned how the voters who elected Trump made him the president in order to reduce grocery prices and maintain peace in the country, which seems to be the opposite of what the American was planning. They said that Trump's voters were 'morons' following the American's remarks.

"We saw story after story of voters who picked Trump because he was gonna keep us out of wars and lower grocery prices. Now he's saying prices will go up and fantasizing about bombing Iran, just like we said. I don't know how we're supposed to pretend they aren't morons."

Martina Navratilova, who had earlier dubbed the future president as a 'lying liar', retweeted the user's tweet, endorsing their views.

Navratilova is continuing her attack on Trump. She labeled the future American president as a "liar, bully, and braggart."

Donald Trump's promise to bring grocery prices down from October and his recent comments on the difficulty of doing so were posted by a user on X.

"Trump in October: 'This will rapidly drive prices down [...] It'll also bring your grocery bill way down.' Trump now: 'It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard.'"

Navratilova commented under the post stating how Trump was a "liar, bully, and braggart" calling his statement "idiotic."

"Well, if they weren’t up, you wouldn’t need to bring them down. What an utterly idiotic statement by trump. He is nothing but a liar , bully and braggart. And that is just a small nicer part of who he is," she tweeted.

Martina Navratilova also tweeted about how she was 'gutted' after the American elections saw Donald Trump defeating Kamala Harris.
