Martina Navratilova gives tongue-in-cheek response to claim that President Donald Trump would have pardoned Joe Biden's son Hunter

Martina Navratilova sarcastically reacted to a story where a Fox News host said that Donald Trump would have pardoned President Joe Biden's son Hunter. The American tennis great also responded to writer Mark Hemingway's comments on Hunter's verdict.

Joe Biden issued an official pardon on December 1 for his son Hunter, who was convicted of lying about his drug use when he bought a gun. And though Biden said that he wouldn't be involving himself him in the case, the need arose when he felt that his son was being unfairly prosecuted.

NYT bestselling author David Witt took to X to second Joe Biden's opinion, however, he also felt that the president's involvement in this case wasn't the right thing for America. He said:

"I think Joe Biden did a ton of good things as president. Hunter Biden’s prosecution was obviously driven by politics. But I can’t see how pardoning him now, in this way, is good for the country or the American people. And our leaders should do what is best for the people."

However, writer Mark Hemingway expressed his disagreement with Witt by stating that Donald Trump had received more flak for less.

"'Hunter Biden’s prosecution was obviously driven by politics.' Do people actually believe this? Hunter’s crimes are certainly a helluva a lot more clear than the garbage Trump’s been charged with."

Matina Navratilova responded to Hemingway by questioning:

"Hey Mark- when did Republicans EVER go after a guy for having lied on a form to GET A GUN ??? I will hold…," she tweeted.

When a user on X posted quotes from a Fox News host, who said,

"Donald Trump would have pardoned Hunter Biden."

Martina Navratilova sarcastically quipped:

"Roflmao. Sure he would have. Yup. No doubt about it. Yesirreeebob!"

Martina Navratilova has expressed her disdain towards Donald Trump on several times in the past.

On Thanksgiving, Donald Trump penned a message where he took a jibe at the left and said how they couldn't stop him, who wants to 'Make America Great Again' from winning.

"Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump wrote.

"Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!" he added.

Martina Navratilova responded to his message by calling him an 'embarrassment to the whole world'.

"Really hard to explain this divisive nonsense. You are an embarrassment to the whole world. America is great now though could be better, and will be great and keep trying to be better long after you are gone," Navratilova wrote.

Martina Navratilova also recently responded to a claim about Donald Trump 'restoring' Title IX, a civil rights law for the protection of women.
