Martina Navratilova recently lambasted Chris Sununu, the Governor of New Hampshire, over his dismissal of suggestions that Elon Musk has considerable influence in US politics. Navratilova herself continues to criticize the $460 billion-worth Musk (as per Celebrity Net Worth) repeatedly for his role in supporting Donad Trump in the 2024 US presidential elections.

Sununu made a recent appearance on CNN's 'State of the Union' and conversed with the talk show's co-anchor Dana Bash on a variety of political issues in the United States. At one point, the Governor of New Hampshire began to talk about Elon Musk as an "outsider" to US politics, despite the billionaire's efforts in orchestrating Donald Trump's return to power.

However, Bash countered this, citing Musk's riches being tied up in government contracts, and asked Sununu if he felt there is a 'conflict of interest'. Here, Sununu answered:

"Everyone has a conflict of interest. The guy's worth $450 billion as of... you know, today, in this month. So, I don't think he's doing it for the money. He's doing it for the bigger project and the bigger vision of America. He doesn't need the dollars. He really doesn't. So it's not like, 'Oh, if I get involved in this, I'll get another little contract here and there.' That's nothing to him. So, I like the fact that he's so rich, he's so removed from the potential financial influence."

Martina Navratilova took notice of Sununu's words and was far from pleased. The 68-year-old responded by stating:

"FFS- what kind of a bulls**t excuse is that????"

Apart from criticizing Elon Musk over his political ties to Donald Trump, Martina Navratilova has also slammed the world's richest man for reportedly silencing critics on X.

"So much free speech" - Martina Navratilova takes sarcastic swipe at Elon Musk over reported social media silencing amid H1-B visa controversy

Elon Musk's stance on H1-B visas recently stirred controversy after the billionaire complained of the absence of motivated and talented engineers in the US. Amid the controversy, a report made its way to X, that suggested that several critics of Musk over his H1-B visa stance lost their verification badges on the platform, which the billionaire took over two years ago.

Martina Navratilova sarcastically reacted to this report and ridiculed Elon Musk over his repeated claims that he stands in favor of free speech.

"So much free speech, right Elon???" Navratilova questioned.

Earlier this year, the World No. 1 had aired a similar take after author Craig Unger suggested that X had 'shadowbanned' him due to his political views being in opposition to the Republicans.
