Martina Navratilova recently criticized Andrew Tate for threatening legal action against Samantha Smith, a victim of the Telford grooming gang. Tate is a controversial social media personality, businessman, and former professional kickboxer.

Tate, who has a net worth of $12 million (according to celebritynetworth.com), is reportedly known for having extremely misogynistic beliefs. In 2022, he was arrested in Romania on charges of human trafficking, violence, and much more.

In December 2024, Tate and his brother Tristan faced a court in Romania for similar charges, but the case was sent back for further investigation after a challenge from the brothers was upheld by the Court of Appeals in Bucharest.

After the case did not go to appeal in Romania, Samantha Smith, a commentator for Sky News and BBC, allegedly made derogatory remarks about Andrew Tate, leading the brothers to take legal action against her. Smith later took to social media and shared that she had deleted the post maligning Tate.

“FYI: I deleted my post on Andrew Tate. I’m barely 20 and have spent the past few days reliving the worst years of my life in the public eye. That does some sh*t to you. Have some grace please. So @TateTheTalisman, you can stop the threats of legal action. I’m sorry. I’m quiet," Samantha Smith posted on X.

Following this, Andrew Tate responded to Smith by stating that he had no sympathy for her situation and said that he would see her in court.

“Nobody feels sorry for you. You attacked us first. See you in court," Tate posted.

In response to Tate's actions against Smith, Martina Navratilova took to social media to condemn him, calling him a "snowflake" for suing Smith, who is a victim of the Telford grooming gang, a group responsible for trafficking young girls, running a pedophile ring, and other criminal activities

“What a j*rk. Suing victims so he is a victim??? What an effing snowflake," Navratilova wrote.
