Martina Navratilova criticized alleged Republican supporters after some men were seen flying Nazi Swastika flags alongside Donald Trump's flag during a boat parade in Florida. Since the images went viral, some have claimed the men were not Trump supporters but aimed to discredit him.

On Sunday, October 13, in Jupiter, Florida, a boat parade was organized as part of Trump's election campaign. One of the boats, however, which joined the parade sported a Nazi flag and chanted slogans such as "Heil Trump!" and "White Power!"

Images and videos of the boat were shared across social media and the Republican presidential candidate came under heavy criticism following this.

Among others, American tennis legend Martina Navratilova, a known Trump critic, shared an image of the boat on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:

"These a******s are so proud."

Trump's niece Mary reacted to the videos and said,

“What the f*** are we even doing?”

Also on X, an account named "Long Time First Time" with over 150,000 followers shared a video of the boat with the men aboard chanting and cheering for Trump, writing:

"This isn't fun to watch, but everyone needs to know what's at stake this election... Trump boat parade flies Swastika flag, wears “Make America White Again” hats, and salutes, “Heil Trump! White Power!” All Trump supporters might not be Nazis, but all Nazis are Trump supporters."

Notably, many later said the men on the boat were not Trump supporters. One X user, a "MAGA" supporter according to the bio, claimed that the men on the boat were "antifa s*****g imposters." A video shared by this user showed water being intentionally splashed on the boat with Nazi flags.

During an election rally in Pennsylvania in September, Donald Trump stated that he always thought women liked him. He alleged that "fake news" kept saying women did not like him. Instead, said Trump,

"I am your protector. I want to be your protector. As president, I have to be your protector. I hope you don’t make too much of it. As president, I have to be your protector.”

Following this, X user Jo said,

"Women don’t need Donald Trump to “protect us.”We need to protect ourselves, our kids and our country… from him."

Martina Navratilova reacted to this post by writing that women did not need Trump's help. She said,

"Exactly- we women need to be left the heck alone- we can protect ourselves just fine if so many men like you just stop attacking us , most of all physically. The emotional abuse we can deal with just fine without your help, donold…."

Among other former tennis stars, Billie Jean King has endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris while Andy Roddick, like Martina Navratilova, has condemned Trump on multiple occasions.

The US presidential elections are set to take place on November 5, 2024, with Republican Trump and Democrat Harris contesting the elections along with other candidates.
