Martina Navratilova recently ridiculed Joe Rogan after the comedian delivered a bold verdict concerning an Elon Musk-owned platform. While voicing his take, the 57-year-old Rogan also slammed the mainstream media.

Joe Rogan, the comedian-turned-podcast host, has established himself as an influential name not just in the US, but around the world as well. Much of his popularity stems from his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, which is widely rated among the most successful podcasts globally.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Rogan spoke highly of X (formerly Twitter), the social media platform that SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk purchased for $44 billion two years ago. The 57-year-old compared the platform as a news source to mainstream news media organizations.

"X is the number one news source on Earth. It's the most trusted because it's the only one that's not messed with. So even if someone's incorrect, the Community Notes will correct them. The Community Notes are rock solid. It's a great way to find out what's real, what's not real," Rogan said.

The podcaster went on to praise how X users can freely debate on topics as well. He also rated the platform significantly higher than mainstream media.

"And then you look in the comments, and you see people debating it, and it's happening in real-time, and it's happening whenever something breaks. And it's way better than what you're going to get from corporate-controlled media," Rogan added.

Luke Zaleski, currently working as the Legal Affairs Editor for Conde Nast, later took a sarcastic swipe at Rogan by sharing a video of the podcaster's remarks.

"What a unique interesting non-self-interested insightful point of view this is," Zaleski wrote.

Former World No. 1 and 18-time singles Grand Slam champion Martina Navratilova took notice of Zaleski's post, reshared it, and ridiculed Rogan through her words.

"Rogan is a joke," Martina Navratilova quipped.

Navratilova herself has not been a supporter of how X has changed since it was taken over by Musk. Recently, the Czech-American went as far as to suggest that Musk was using the platform to shape the political landscape of the US.

Bestselling author Craig Unger, a critic of the Republicans similar to Martina Navratilova, recently suggested that his X account was being shadow-banned. Unger cited a few statistical changes he has seen over the last several months to back up his claim.

Navratilova reshared Unger's post and took aim at Elon Musk, writing:

"Elon has rigged the system in a big way. Buying twitter was his best investment ever"

Musk played an instrumental role in Donald Trump being re-elected as President in the 2024 elections. The world's richest man not only poured millions into Trump's campaign, but was also physically present at many of his rallies.
