Martina Navratilova commented on Donald Trump avoiding a jail term and receiving an unconditional discharge in the porn star hush money case. The tennis legend referred to him as a "convicted felon," adding that it has a "certain ring" to it.
Trump was sentenced to unconditional discharge for his hush-money conviction just 10 days before his inauguration, making him the first individual convicted of a felony to assume the presidency.
The case revolves around allegations that he falsified business records to cover up a $130,000 payment to pornographic actress Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with him in 2006. He has denied the allegations, dismissing the prosecution as politically motivated.
Navratilova has long been an outspoken critic of Trump, never hesitating to call him out for his actions. She was also a strong supporter of Kamala Harris during her campaign against the 78-year-old in the 2024 election.
The 18-time Grand Slam champion didn't hold back this time either, taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account to write:
“Convicted felon Donald J. Trump does have a certain ring to it, no?”
An user commented under Martina Navratilova's post, claiming that no matter what she said, Donald Trump was her "daddy."
Navratilova replied:
“Nope. Still a CONVICTED FELON.”
