Martina Navratilova welcomed 2025 alongside her wife, Julia Lemigova, at a lively New Year's party. The couple celebrated the occasion surrounded by friends, sharing joyful moments and showing off their dance moves.

Taking to Instagram, Lemigova, along with international DJ Eliad Cohen, shared a carousel of images and videos from their New Year's party. Navratilova appeared in multiple images (slides 3 and 5) and she was also recorded pulling out some dance moves (slide 11).

Navratilova first met Lemigova in 2000, but it wasn’t until they reconnected in 2008 that sparks of romance began to fly. Their relationship blossomed, leading to Navratilova’s memorable proposal during the 2014 US Open and their marriage later that year.

Late last year, the couple shared that they had officially become empty nesters after Lemigova’s daughters moved out. However, 2024 brought a new chapter of joy as they welcomed two adopted sons into their family.

Martina Navratilova is one of tennis' greatest legends, with 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 women’s doubles, and 10 mixed doubles, totaling 59 major titles. Known for her dominance in the 1980s, she held the World No. 1 ranking for 332 weeks.

In 1981, Navratilova courageously came out as gay, becoming one of the first openly LGBTQ+ professional athletes. In 2024, she achieved a new chapter in her life. She announced that she and wife Julia Lemigova had become parents to two adopted sons. Navratilova said in a statement, according to her agent Mary Greenham:

"We are over the moon, recognising the challenges and the rewards for everybody."

Later, in an interview with PEOPLE, Lemigova opened up about the experience of raising their adopted sons.

"I'm sleep-deprived but so happy. It's becoming a reality because it's only been three months, but it's been a very intense, loving, incredible, three months," she said.
"When we got married, [Navratilova] promised me, one of her vows was she would get off social media a little bit because she's constantly on Twitter [now X] and that it took her how many years of marriage to actually be less on social media because of the boys because now she has no time," she added.

Lemigova also shared how Navratilova has embraced their new family life with enthusiasm, taking on tasks like making pancakes in the morning and dropping the kids off at school.
