Roger Federer's wife Mirka's seemingly unbothered expression during Ben Shelton's dramatic fall over an advertising board at the Laver Cup prompted a wave of humorous reactions from fans online. Contrastingly, Federer was shocked by what he saw on the court.

On the final day of the 2024 Laver Cup, Team World led 8-4 before the doubles encounter between Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud of Team Europe against Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.

Europe won the first set convincingly, and both teams fought hard for control in the second. At 5-5, 40-40, Shelton sprinted to return Ruud's shot but couldn't reach it in time, losing the point. Attempting to challenge the call, he fell over an advertising board near Team Europe's dugout.

He was down for a few moments before his opponents helped him up, with Alcaraz checking on him as well. In the crowd, Roger Federer appeared shocked and absorbed in the action, while his wife Mirka seemingly remained expressionless beside him.

Notably, Anna Wintour, the influential editor-in-chief of Vogue, also looked taken aback by the on-court scenes.

The Laver Cup's official X account posted Federer's reaction and fans could not help but notice Mirka.

"My girl Mirka couldn’t care less," one fan wrote.
"This is why Mirka inspired a movie," another fan wrote.
"Mirka out there not givin a f*ck!!!" a third fan wrote.

Here are some more fan reactions to Mirka's expressions after Shelton's fall.

"And Mirka is sleeping with her eyes open," one fan wrote.
"Funniest thing is Anna wintour showing more emotions than mirka 😂" another fan pointed out.
"LOL, Mirka is stone-faced! She’s seen everything!" yet another fan wrote.

Shelton and Tiafoe forced a tiebreaker in the second set but could not make the most of it as they lost the match 2-6, 6-7(6). Each win on the final day was worth three points, and Team Europe managed to win two out of the next three singles matches to clinch the Laver Cup with a scoreline of 13-11.

As the 2024 Laver Cup has concluded, John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg, captains of Team World and Team Europe, respectively, are officially relieved of their duties. They captained the teams for all seven editions of the Roger Federer-backed event. The Swiss tennis icon claimed that it was a "bittersweet" week for him.

“For me, it’s very much a bittersweet week with Bjorn and John because I would love them to be captains forever. At the same time, we’ve got to move with the times, I guess,” he said (via ATP Tour).

From 2025 onwards, Yannick Noah will take over captaincy for Team Europe, while Andre Agassi will captain Team World.
