Fresh off his 2024 Paris Olympics victory, Novak Djokovic gave fans a humorous peek into his pre-US Open preparations, sharing his last-minute packing routine. The Serb will head to New York looking to claim his fifth title there, having clinched it in 2011, 2015, 2018 and 2023.

Djokovic bagged the gold medal in the men's singles tennis event at the Paris Olympics by defeating Carlos Alcaraz 7-6(3), 7-6(2). That also gave him the Career Golden Slam - winning all the Majors and an Olympic gold medal at least once.

After concluding his Paris Olympics campaign, Djokovic was seen organizing his bags to travel to New York for the US Open, where the event is slated from August 26 to September 8. While providing a peek into his routine on TikTok, the Olympic champion also revealed his tendency to overpack.

The clip was reshared on Instagram by a fan.

"I'm one of those people who always takes more than he needs," Novak Djokovic said. "I don't seem very excited right now because it's 11 pm and of course, the night before the morning of departure and I still haven't finished my packing because I live in suitcases, I live in bags. This is my life. It's a sad story, not about the playing but I'm just stating the obvious."

The 37-year-old chose to pack in his children's room, explaining he wanted to avoid the mess in his and his wife's room caused by his numerous bags.

"I'm actually packing right now in the children's room because it's much neater and cleaner than my room and my wife's room at the moment," he added. "It's way too many bags so I didn't want to... didn't want to look that bad. Here at least it's quite easy. So, yeah, see you in New York."
