"My heart is filled with so much love" - Serena Williams overjoyed as Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa sends her special shoes and sweatshirts

Serena Williams recently expressed her gratitude for the new sweatshirt and Nike sneakers sent to her by the wife of the late Kobe Bryant, Vanessa. Williams has been a Nike athlete since 2004 when she signed a deal with the brand and she continues to maintain a strong partnership with them to date.

Following his retirement in 2016, Bryant had entered a five-year deal with Nike to extend his shoe-line into his post-playing career. After his tragic passing, Vanessa Bryant agreed to a new deal with Nike to honor his legacy. Nike, in collaboration with Vanessa, has since launched several apparel collections, including several sneakers.

The American sportswear brand also pledged to donate 100 percent of the net proceeds from the sales of Kobe Bryant's daughter Gianna's shoes to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation (M&MSF).

Vanessa Bryant recently gifted the L.A. Royal collection hoodie and a pair of new Nike shoe to her friends, including Serena Williams. The tennis legend took to social media to share a video of the package and expressed how it filled her heart with "love" for Kobe and Gianna. She also praised the apparel as "cool".

“My heart is filled with so much love when I see this. So thank you Vanessa [Bryant] for sending. This is so cool and check out these. Insane right?” Williams said.
