Osaka took to the social media platform, Threads, to reveal that her kit sponsor Nike created mini versions of her Grand Slam outfits for her one-year-old daughter, Shai. The 27-year-old called it the "cutest thing."

"Nike makes Shai mini versions of my grand slam outfits and it’s the cutest thing ever ✔️❤️" Osaka wrote on Threads.

Osaka recently also posted a carousel of images with her daughter Shai on Instagram. It was a rare appearance for the toddler on social media as the Japanese tennis star and her boyfriend Cordae prefer to not upload images of her. She captioned the post:

Naomi Osaka’s boyfriend, rapper Cordae, recently shared a powerful message on social media, urging parents to protect their children from the dangers of rising cybercrime and AI advancements.

The couple, who welcomed their daughter Shai in July 2023, has been together since 2019 and maintains a strong relationship despite past rumors. With a combined following of over 5 million on Instagram, Osaka and Cordae choose to keep their daughter’s images private. Cordae emphasized:

"Idk who needs to hear this but social media is not a real place. Just because you don't see something happening on here don't mean it ain't happening in REAL LIFE. People show what they want you to see. It's a STAGE," he wrote.

"Stop putting all your info online, especially if you have a large following. Stop posting your family members with no proper discernment ESPECIALLY your kids. Cyber security is only getting worse, Al is only getting better. Stay safe and protected loved ones."

The four-time Grand Slam champion is currently competing at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where she has made a strong start to her 2025 season with two wins.

The Japanese star advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 event, defeating Lina Glushko 6-4, 6-4 and Julia Grabher 7-5, 6-3. Osaka also took a moment to praise her new coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, for his guidance in her successful campaign openers.
