Naomi Osaka hilariously called herself a 'grandma' trying to figure out technology when her iPhone updated itself. Osaka attended the glamorous GQ Men of the Year event on November 19, before taking a vacation to the Cayman Islands.
After her season concluded, Osaka took a trip to the Cayman Islands, posting aesthetic beach pictures in grainy filters. Shortly after, the two-time US Open champion took to her Threads handle to express concern about feeling technologically backward like a grandmother after her iPhone updated on its own.
"My iPhone just updated itself and I feel like a grandma trying to figure out this new technology," Osaka wrote.
After cutting her 2024 season short due to a back injury, Osaka started gearing up for the upcoming session with her coach Patrick Mouratoglou. In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, November 26, the Japanese confirmed the completion of her first training day, writing:
"We have survived. You know, I'm making a video of how we have survived the first day of pre-season. I'm alive. I'm very grateful."
In another Instagram story, Naomi Osaka shared a photo of her manicured nails and reflected on how her nails sent her to 'panic' when she realized those were too long to grip a racket.
"Unhinged behavior. The way I panicked yesterday because I knew my nails were potentially too long to hold my racquet... My nail beds will never recover," the caption read.
Naomi Osaka took a break from tennis in 2023 as she was pregnant with her first child, Shai. Naomi Osaka and her partner Cordae welcomed their newborn in July 2023. She marked her return at the 2024 Brisbane International, losing to Karolína Plíšková in the second round.
The former World No.1 also faced early exits in the French Open and the US Open before being forced to end her season early due to an injury she sustained at the China Open in October.

Furthermore, one of her TikTok videos showcased a hilarious moment where the Japanese pondered whether or not to take the bottle of SirDavis Whiskey. After the shoot, Osaka stood up from the bar stool, ready to leave, when the whiskey bottle from Beyonce-backed brand, SirDavis caught her eyes.
She stood staring for a minute, heaved a sigh, and left the spot with a drooped face.
"I was genuinely thinking about stealing the bottle. Beyonce please send me some," the two-time Australian Open winner's caption read.
