Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka recently reacted to American rapper and her boyfriend, Cordae's new musical album release. This comes just a month after the China Open in which she had to withdraw from her Round of 16 clash against Coco Gauff due to an injury.
The studio album titled "The Crossroads", featuring prominent rappers such as Lil Wayne and Ye, is set to release on Friday (Nov 15). This album, which consists of 16 songs, will be Cordae's third album after "The Lost Boy" and "From a Bird's Eye View."
Osaka took to her Instagram handle to share the newly released cover of this music album to show support to her boyfriend's endevaour and commented "absolutely."
Naomi Osaka and Cordae have been dating each other since 2019 and they became parents to a baby girl, Shai, in July 2023. The Japanese player returned to the tennis court earlier this year in January after a prolonged interval due to her childbirth. However, her injury at the China Open in October forced her to wrap up her 2024 season early.
Naomi Osaka's new coach Patrick Mouratoglou shed light on the Japanese player's incredible motivation
Naomi Osaka's coach Patrick Mouratoglou recently opened up about the Japanese player's aspiration to win Grand Slams next season. Mouratoglou joined Osaka just before the 2024 China Open.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the French coach revealed that Osaka is motivated to come back and produce good performances in the Grand Slams. He also mentioned that it is a 'dream' for every coach to work with a player of Osaka's caliber. He said:
"Before the first tournament we did together she was 80 in the world and she knows she can do much more than that. She's extremely motivated to come back and win Grand Slams, and it's a pleasure for me because that's the dream of every coach: to have a player who has that level of motivation."
Osaka's Grand Slam run in the 2024 season ended on a disappointing note. She failed to cross the second round in any of the four Slams. In the other tournaments too, the former WTA No.1's performance was not up to her standards.
She failed to reach the semifinals in any of her 2024 tournaments, with her best results being quarterfinal appearances at the Qatar Open and the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships.
