Naomi Osaka shared a few pictures with her daughter Shai as she joined the '2024 wrapped' trend. The Japanese player and her daughter's adorable pictures drew loving reactions from Amanda Anisimova, Sabine Lisicki, and Caroline Garcia.

Osaka and her partner, American rapper Cordae, welcomed Shai in July 2023. The Japanese superstar was out of action for about a year following which she made her return to tennis in 2024. She kicked off her 2025 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland and has made it to the quarterfinals.

With her first year of motherhood coming to an end, Osaka shared a few adorable pictures of her daughter Shai from 2024, giving a unique and adorable twist to the 'wrapped' trend. The photos included Shai taking walks with her mother, watching her mother compete, and other moments. Osaka captioned the post,

"2024 wrap but it’s pics of me and the cutest girl in the world."

The adorable clicks drew warm reactions from tennis stars Amanda Anisimova, Sabine Lisicki, and Caroline Garcia in the comments section of the post.

"I don't think I'm the type of player that would hang around" - Naomi Osaka on struggling with her tennis

During a recent interview with the Associated Press, Naomi Osaka said she may hang up her racket if her struggles from 2024 continue. The Japanese star is currently ranked 57 but has struggled to find her rhythm.

“I don’t think I’m the type of player that would hang around,” Osaka told reporters. “I have a lot of respect for all the players on tour, but the point of my life that I’m at right now, if I’m not above a certain ranking, I don’t see myself playing for a while."

Osaka felt that rather than spending her time struggling on the court, she would enjoy some quality time with her daughter.

“I’d rather spend time with my daughter if I’m not where I think I should be and where I feel like I can be.”

She also said that she was 'humbled' by her underwhelming season. After a fiery start to her 2024 season, Naomi Osaka will play American rising star Hailey Baptiste in the quarterfinals of the ASB Classic in what will be their first match against each other.
