New Dior ambassador Zheng Qinwen makes her feelings known on joining Emma Raducanu-partnered luxury brand

Zheng Qinwen shared her excitement after being announced as the new ambassador for the luxury brand Dior, a role previously held by Emma Raducanu. Raducanu became a Dior ambassador in 2022 after she wore a Grecian-inspired silver gown from the brand's resort collection to the premiere of a James Bond film.

Dior is a French multinational luxury brand established in 1946 by designer Christian Dior. The company is chaired by Bernard Arnault, a prominent French businessman who also heads LVMH. Renowned for its elegance and timeless style, Dior is a leader in high-end fashion, accessories, fragrances, and cosmetics. The brand gained fame for transforming women’s fashion with its iconic “New Look,” which highlights femininity and sophistication.

Zheng was announced as the new ambassador on Thursday, January 9. At a press conference in Melbourne a day later, she discussed her recent collaboration, saying:

“Well, I think it's my pleasure to have Dior with me. Since I was 16 years old, Dior has been one of my favorite brands really. I had nice shooting experience from them. When the picture comes up, actually I am the most happy one. Say, That was good pictures, I love it (smiling).”

She added:

“Yeah, when you have sponsors like this, I think you need to make sure you also have the correct behavior inside and outside the court 'cause you want to match with those high brand. For me, Dior is a very, very high brand, everybody knows.”

Zheng expressed her gratitude, saying it was an honor to be chosen by Dior among so many Olympic champions. The 22-year-old Chinese athlete made history as the first Asian tennis player to win gold in singles at the Paris Olympics last year.

“Yeah, I just am happy to work with them and thanks that they choose me because there is lot of Olympic champion. I just say I'm lucky. Sometimes I really feel I'm a bit lucky,” she said.

Zheng Qinwen and Emma Raducanu are gearing up to kick off their 2025 Australian Open campaigns, with the tournament running from January 12 to January 26.

The Chinese star will start her journey on Sunday, January 12, facing Romanian player Anca Todoni. Meanwhile, the Brit will step onto the court the following day, taking on Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova.
